About our program

Our aviation club: Our unique Aviation Club is a model airplane academy. Every year thousands of students explore the art of flight while putting to use their intellectual and motor skills, as well as their social and interpersonal skills. We hold over 50 different model airplanes of which, 60% are original and exclusive designs .

In addition to building and flying of the airplanes, a.k.a. "the fun stuff", we also focus and integrate many areas of education into our program including: Math (basic and geometry), visual arts, history.

The Aviation Program was developed by experts in the field and reviewed by a select set of education professionals. Our materials are hand written for us from the Aviation Education Council and the Federal Aviation Administration.

The Aviation Club programs promote learning in an amicable environment, one that creates an enthusiastic and fun way of teaching and acquiring knowledge. Our students learn how to create and operate a variety of air models such as remote control planes, free flight planes, rockets, gliders, stunt kites, hot air balloons, etc. Throughout the program students learn how to read and evaluate construction plans and to utilize various hobby tools and resources that capture students’ curiosity and imaginations.

How it works for students

Experience and Knowledge
In the Aviation Club, the students learn how to create and operate a variety of air models such as remote control planes, free flight planes, rockets, gliders, stunt kites, hot air balloons, etc. Throughout the program students learn how to read and evaluate construction plans, as well as utilize various hobby tools and resources which generate interest among the students. The sessions are taught by trained instructors who have vast amounts of experience with children of all ages and knowledge in the fascinating the world of aviation.

Craftsmanship
"Craftsmanship teaches children responsibility and respect for their creation."
Our mission is to enable children to learn the life skills in order to become successful and emotionally healthy adults. JINJI Glider provides each student with a clean and quiet environment to work, necessary tools and materials and educated instructors allowing the student to improve his or her craft skills.

  1. To prepare for a task: Gathering necessary information such as reading the plans and instructions, gathering the right tools, equipment and controlling the impulsive desire to jump in headfirst.
  2. To follow directions: Acknowledging the expertise of others and realizing that he or she needs instructional help with a task.
  3. To tolerate frustration: A difficult, new, lengthy and complex project will always go wrong in small ways. A mature individual sees these obstacles as temporary problems to be solved.
  4. To know when to shift focus away from a compelling task: Inherent in any significant undertaking is the necessity of letting go temporarily in order to rest and regain a fresh enthusiasm to a difficult problem.
  5. To finish a project completely and consistently: It seems to happen so often, that the attention to detail demonstrated at the start of a project is abandoned near the end.
  6. Pride and respect in creation: A child who has built a real airplane model or other hobby craft project, one that works well, feels pride in ownership. The use of the new model will give them a new, larger self. Their successfully built and working project is their own reward and self made trophy.
